Growth Groups is one of the most important ministries we have here at CBC. It is an opportunity to be a part of community and grow in your faith. Jesus calls us live in community and be marked by love.

Why Growth Groups?

In our Growth Groups we spend time in fellowship with one another. We want to be invested in one another’s lives and seek to care for one another. We see each other at church and outside of Bible study. It’s not just a program, it’s a community.

We study the Word of God. The most important thing we can do with one is spend time getting to know our Bibles. A wise man once said, “A Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.” We desire to be people who know and love their Bibles.

We pray for one another. We cannot work out our faith without God working in us. We rely on prayer like we rely on oxygen. We want to both lift up those in our group, but also the needs and concerns of those around us.

Finally we want to encourage and spur one another on to share the faith. We are not meant to keep the good news hidden, but to share it with those we come into contact with.

This is why Growth Groups are so important; we need to be growing in our faith, and we cannot do that alone.
